All materials, pumps and tanks/cisterns used by Thompson Water Wells are UL and NSF certified, making them the safest, most durable, and environmentally friendly materials available for fresh-water use. Whether it's the PVC well casing, the galavanized steel well house, or the silica sand and pea-gravel or the Enviroplug well sealant, Thompson is looking our for your safety and satisfaction.
Colorado Silica Sands
Colorado Silica has a high silica composition which makes our material very durable. It doesn't break down easily under pressure conditions. This allows for better well development and, more importantly, greater water production.
CSSI sand has an extremely low acid solubility. The 1% loss estimate for our material again indicates that our material doesn't break down easily. This allows for a longer pump life and greater water production.
Colorado Silica undertakes a rigorous process to ensure that our sand is graded to the highest of specifications. Due to our quality control procedure, CSSI sand is very uniform. This also allows for longer pump life because it prevents infiltration or formation of other environmental contaminants.
Colorado Silica sand is known for having particulary round and regular grains, which allow the sand to pack more tightly and consistently around the well-casing, again aiding in longer pump life, lower power costs, and greater water production during the life of your well.
